Offshore Service

Iceland Oil ltd provides offshore refuelling.

In northerly regions, Iceland Oil ltd provides fuel in the Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea, in the Eastern and Western waters of Greenland, the Reykjanes Ridge, the Flemish Cap, and the Hatton Rockall region. Further south on the globe, we provide fuel off the coast of Africa (from Morocco in the north to Namibia in the South) and off the coasts of Chile. The fuel in these regions is handled from supply ships that the Danish corporations O.W. Icebunker and O. W. Bunker operate. The storage tankers are periodically en route during those times and in those regions that fishing is conducted. The tankers always have gas oil (Marine Gasoil, sulphur ≤ 0,2%, density ≤ 0,86). Intermediate fuel oil is provided in most regions (usually 180 cSt and lighter).  Finally, it is mentionable that there are usually a few barrels of lubricating oil (SAE 30 and 40) aboard the storage tankers, in order to manage any problems that may arise.

Iceland Oil ltd provides offshore service outside of Iceland.

Iceland Oil ltd offers its customers to intercede on their behalf for the acquisition of fuel in ports worldwide. Iceland Oil ltd utilizes either its own trade connections in each location or employs the assistance of O.W. Bunker.  Icelandic Oil ltd can also act as an intermediary agent on the acquisition of lubricating oils and agents in most ports.  It is mentionable that the type of oil available in each place differs extremely.  In addition, handling time is often considerably longer than is customary in Iceland.
